4 pathways OF the wisdom leader

November 9-14, 2010

“We will be known by the tracks we leave.”
-  Dakota Proverb

The Four Pathways of the Wisdom Leader Program, for both men and women, speaks to the need for a different kind of leader for these contemporary times.  To inspire, engage and motivate others to share the vision and contribute their best efforts, leaders must begin to lead from the inside out.  Critical attributes of character and integrity cannot be trained but must be excavated from within oneself.   The “soft” skills of leadership have become the “hard” skills and successful leaders of the future need both.

With today’s internal and external expectations and pressures, how do you remember who you are and what you intend to do?  Where are you today on the path between confusion and conviction?  And what do others see when they observe your leadership presence?

The four universal archetypes found in ancient wisdom traditions provide a framework to cultivate personal power and wellbeing.  Through exploring our roles of Warrior, Healer, Visionary and Teacher in our leadership and personal lives we integrate and strengthen our personal leadership potential.  We use the Wisdom Wheel framework to determine how we address the key organizational tasks of productivity, transparency, connectedness and sustainability back at our workplaces.

This is a five day program.  It is nature based and time spent outdoors is significant.  Activities include morning walks, moderate hiking, meditation and a variety of reflection and personal growth activities.

“There are simply no answers to some of the great pressing questions.  You continue to live them out, making your life a worthy expression of leaning into the light.”

-  Bill Moyers, noted American journalist
